Camberley Under 7s were delighted to be back in action this weekend, returning to training after the Christmas holidays with plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and a healthy appetite for mud.
The first session of the new year was made even more special as we were joined by our friends from Dorking Rugby Club’s Under 7s. Around 30 boys and girls took part, throwing themselves into a brilliant morning of rugby activities. The session included a variety of fun exercises to get everyone moving again, followed by some friendly matches where teamwork, smiles, and effort were on full display.
To round things off in true junior rugby style, the session finished with a lively game of bulldog, which proved to be a huge hit with the players and ensured that everyone went home tired, muddy, and happy. The children clearly loved the challenging winter conditions, embracing the mud with enthusiasm and laughter — although it is fair to say the parents watching from the sidelines may have had slightly mixed feelings, especially when faced with the post-training kit wash.
It was a fantastic way to kick off the year, showcasing everything that is great about mini rugby: friendship, fun, inclusivity, and enjoyment, both on and off the pitch. A big thank you to Dorking Rugby Club for joining us, and well done to all the players for a brilliant start to 2026.
