On a crisp and sunny autumn morning at Watchetts, over 50 enthusiastic boys and girls from Camberley and Chobham Rugby Clubs came together for their first ever joint U7s training session. The event was a wonderful celebration of rugby, teamwork, and shared passion for the game.
The young players enjoyed a packed morning of fun and learning, with sessions focused on passing, tagging, tackling techniques, and spatial awareness. Coaches from both clubs worked together to create a lively and engaging environment, ensuring that every child had plenty of touches on the ball and opportunities to develop their confidence and skills.
There was a fantastic buzz around the pitches as friendships were formed, tries were scored, and smiles were seen all round. The joint session not only provided valuable experience for the players but also strengthened the growing connection between the two clubs, showcasing the spirit of community rugby at its best.
A huge thank you goes to all the coaches, volunteers, and parents who helped make the morning such a success. The U7s will no doubt take plenty of inspiration — and new skills — into their next festivals and training sessions.
Well done to all the young players – the future of our clubs looks bright!
