Camberley Junior Academy Pinks kicked off their first match of 2026 with an away fixture against Cobham on a chilly but dry morning.
Despite Cobham starting strongly, it was Camberley who struck first. A superb try assist from Josh set up Chester to cross the line, with Phillip calmly converting to give the visitors an early lead.
Momentum stayed with Camberley as Gabriel powered through for a second try, though the conversion attempt narrowly missed. Cobham responded with two tries of their own, converting one, bringing the score level at half-time.
The second half saw Cobham take control, adding several tries to push the score to 32–12. Camberley fought hard until the final whistle, with Waisle scoring a late consolation try to close the gap. The match ended 34–17 in Cobham’s favour.
Player of the Match: Matthew – for an outstanding and well-deserved performance.
