Magical Owen's try makes Camberley shine in the second half

On a Cold and Breezy day at Watchetts, Camberley claimed all 5 points with a much improved second half performance.

The first 15 minutes saw both defences on top but Camberley managed to break the deadlock when a good run from Nick Barry down the blindside was backed up by the evergreen Alex Hughes who was brought down 5 metres from the try line, but quick ball was fed to Connor Diplock who powered over. Liam Prescott added the conversion. For the next 25 minutes Camberley gave away too many penalties and Cobham were rewarded with a penalty and an unconverted try after sloppy play at the back from Camberley.
HT Camberley 7 Cobham 8
Camberley came flying out of the blocks in the second half, a clearing Cobham kick was taken by Alex Hughes on his own 10-yard line he quickly fed Harry Faulkner who moved it wider to George Owen who showed pace and power to score from 60 yards. Certainly, a contender for try of the season. This seemed to knock the wind out of Cobham and the Camberley 8 started to take control in the scrums and on 52 minutes Alex Hughes scored from a pushover with Liam Prescott adding the extras.
The next score came on 62 minutes after a minor fracas an angry Nick Barry powered over from 10 yards to claim the important bonus point score again Liam Prescott converted.
This gave the opportunity for DOR Gareth Rise to bring on the finishers with John Murphy replacing Connor Diplock, Sam Hadlington on debut came into the second row for Ed Grovesnor and young fly half Ben Stevens replaced Ash Wright.
The final score came with the last play of the game with Jaid Wiltshire pouncing on a bouncing ball to get the touchdown. The final kick was converted by Liam Prescott.
Another good second half performance with Nick Barry chosen has MOTM after several big carries and controlling the scrum. In the backs George Owen look dangerous every time he touched the ball.
Next week Camberley are at home to London Irish 3pm kick off followed by England v Ireland at 4.45pm and at the final whistle a live Irish Band will be performing.

Roger Berry (Match Reporter) returns next week, and it looks like is C&W sneaked a bonus point victory.
