In a one sided contest Camberley scored 15 tries to heap more pain on the League's bottom side

On a cold and largely grey afternoon at Watchetts the big question was, could struggling visitors Warlingham drag the high flying black and ambers down to their level, something which so often happens in sport, or would the home side be strong enough to play their natural game.
In the end Cam overwhelmed a struggling but courageous Warlingham side, clearly lacking in confidence, and also brushed aside some of the officiating which appeared, at times, to be trying to 'even up' the game, to score 15 tries while leaving quite a few more on the park.
Cam were on the scoreboard within 5 mins when a penalty on halfway saw Matt Smart put the ball into the visitors 22. The resultant lineout saw a big drive by Richard and when Ash was held up over the line the ball was recycled and good hands by Mac and Hughsey saw Josh cross in the corner. HT was unable to convert from touch.
Following a missed penalty attempt by the visitors another good carry by flanker Rich saw the ball again quickly recycled and TommyA crossed for the score and with the conversion by HT the score was 12-0 after 12 mins.
Straight from the restart we saw a great take by Hughsey who took play back into the visitors half and good quick hands saw HT on the left wing very delicately dance and step his way to score while leaving two of the opposition defence lying on the pitch but he was not able to add the extras.
Cam claimed their try bonus on 20 mins when the visitors missed touch from a penalty and great hands again saw the ball flow across the park with HT the grateful recipient of the final pass for another unconverted try.
Another great restart take by Hoff saw the ball reach skipper for the day Ash who jinked through an already fading defence before a scorching burst to the line to touch down under the posts and with HT adding the extras the score had moved to 29-0.
Again the restart saw prop Dan Harvey take the ball forward before the ball was moved through any number of hands before Josh touched down for his second of the afternoon.
We then saw some action on the right wing for a change when a great physical run by Oyoni took play into the red zone again. Attacking again from a loose kick by the visitors quick hands from Mac put Oyoni over in the corner with HT's conversion attempt hitting the post.
Then Cam were penalised yet again for off side and were down to 14 but this did not have any apparent impact on their play as within 5 mins more pressure saw Hughsey over in the corner and with a glorious conversion by HT the score had reached 46 points.
The crowd had been already by this time seen some really outstanding tries but the next couple of minutes were very special.
Again direct from the restart Hoff took the ball and set up another attack and with Oyoni making more brutal yards before releasing lock Sam Voight who found prop Steve Hasting on the visitors 10m line. The prop then burst forward in a mazy, powerful and pacey run in which he stepped at least three of the opposition before touching down under the posts for HT to convert on the stroke of half time making the score 53-0.
Within a couple of mins of the second half starting the visitors claimed their only score of the game with a break when their player semed to be at least 3m offside but this was the last time they would bother the scorers.
Cam scored their next try on 47 mins when Josh dotted down for his hatrick with Matt Smart adding the extras.
We then saw a great break by Hughsey who passed to loosehead Ali on halfway who had done well to support the flanker but was now faced with a 50m sprint to the line (you could see the panic etched on his face!). However fullback TommyA appeared just in time to take the pass from the somewhat relieved prop but when he was held up Ali was on hand again to take the ball before releasing Hughsey to touch down for another score converted by Matt.
It was then time for young winger Musa to get in on the act and when Josh made yet another searing break he was on hand to take the final pass and again with Matt adding the extras the score had now reached 74-7.
Warlingham then had a brief period of possession but as so often happens after a series of very lateral moves close to the Cam line their final pass was intercepted by Musa and he outsprinted the opposition to score within 5 minutes of his previous try and again Matt added the extras.
The restart then saw young lock Ben Harrison take the ball in our 22 and storm through the opposition to take play into the visitors 22 yet again and following several phases we saw hooker Dan Neal cross wide out for the 14th try.
From the restart we then saw try scorer Dan have his own 30m dash as the visitors visibly tired but despite being pinged again at a scrum at which the black and ambers were driving forward they soon regained possession and we saw Ash and Oyoni interchanging passes as they scorched down the wing only to be brought back for a forward pass.
However Cam were not to be outdone and from a lineout in the visitors 22 quick ball saw Ash feed Musa for the young winger's hatrick and a final score of 91-7.
This was a great exhibition of the expansive rugby that the black and amber supporters have come to expect against a side who are clearly struggling in all areas, a situation which fortunately we have not experienced now for several years at Watchetts.
Next week the 1s are away at Old Colfeians in the second round of the Intermediate cup – kick off will be 2.00pm
And Finally it was good to see a C&W side consisting largely of academy players come back from 25-5 down at half time to beat Saracens 36-32 at The Holm in what appears to have been a very exciting LV cup game.
