In their first game back in LSW3 Cam put Trojans to the sword scoring 9 tries in an outstanding display.

Arriving at Trojans on a glorious, warm late summer afternoon the first thing which we noticed was that the pitch was almost ready to be cut for silage - the grass was exceptionally long and it proved very energy sapping for both sides.
Cam got off to a great start and from a 5m lineout within the first 3 mins set up a good drive which saw Chris Parnaby crash over for the first score.
From the restart, Cam soon worked their way again into the hosts 22 but were turned over and then conceded a penalty on their 10m line which was well converted by Trojans on 9 mins.
Trojans then had a period of possession and only desperate defence and very good discipline kept the home team from adding to their score but when Cam sneaked a Trojans lineout they went through the gears from their own 22m line and a beautiful break by Tommy Allen saw him give Jono the easiest of run ins to score - and so with Liam adding the extras the score crept on to 3-12 after 25 mins.
This then heralded a superb period for the black and ambers when straight from the restart they were very disciplined through a number of phases and when they let the ball out wide we saw Tommy A again make a glorious break and this time Laz was on hand to score.
Again Cam executed their restart drills to perfection and a series of searing breaks saw play again in the Trojans red zone and when the lineout catch and drive was stopped quick hands saw the ball speed across the backs to Phil Cresswell who still had some work to do to get the touch down in the corner - and then Laz stunned the crowd with a fabulous conversion making the score 3-24 after 33 mins.
From the restart Cam had a scrum on their 10m and a great drive saw the ball out quickly to winger Birdie who chipped the last defender and saw the ball sit up for him to collect and touch down with Laz adding the extras (he could hardly miss after the previous kick!!) and this remained the score at half time 3-31 with the bonus point already in the bag.
The first period of the second half saw Trojans exert some pressure on the Cam line but they rarely looked to have the fire power to break Mark Odejobi's defensive drills which saw every member of the black and amber squad continue to hurl themselves into tackles with such ferocity that the hosts had no answer.
Eventually the siege was lifted and when Will O'Meara chipped the ball through to the Trojans 22m young hooker Magoo was up so fast that he managed to nail the winger and centre Joe Wood then kicked the ball forward, collected it and touched down in the corner on 58 mins.
Cam were soon back in the Trojans half having seemingly shrugged off their lethargic start to the second half and when they won a lineout the ball again went wide and Tommy A again created a massive hole in their defence and raced through to score under the posts with the extras added by Jono - and 3 mins later Cam repeated this move when , from the restart they moved back into the opposition territory and again good work by the forwards set up acres of space for Tommy A to score his second try which was converted and so on 75 mins Cam had reached 50 points.
However probably the best try of the afternoon was to follow when speedster Phil Cresswell fielded a long kick deep in his half, full of energy even in the 78th min he ran the ball back beating several tired Trojans and when he was eventually stopped on the home sides 10m his little pop pass was taken on by Alex Hughes who then fed the ball to hooker Magoo on 22. The young hooker who always gives 110% then calmly stepped the fullback and sprinted to the line to score the final try of the afternoon.
This was an exciting performance by the young black and ambers with everyone putting in an excellent shift and so much more positive than last week.
The front row again played out of their skins, the second row of Sam and Greg made some amazing hits (Greg was Cams MoM) and the back row were equally good in attack and defence. Skipper Roger Wood had probably his best game for the club to date and was responsible for stifling his opposite number at numerous scrums which really helped the team's defensive efforts. Will at 10 also had on of his best runs for some time managing the line well and also was much stronger in defence.
The centres, Tommy A and Joe were outstanding with crunching defence and searing attacking and their confidence clearly had a great influence on the back three who were unrecognisable from last week.
So on to next week when we welcome Old Tiffinians to Watchetts - again with a 2.00 start. There is also The Presidents Lunch preceding the game - anyone not booked please contact Mike Courtness.
So finally with no C&W action this weekend after their 50points to a small number pasting of B**RF last week it was the turn of our cricket side to make headlines today by beating Surrey to win the One Day Cup at Lords - their first silverware for a number of seasons.
