The visitors to Watchetts this weekend were Old Emmanuel who have been unfortunate to finish the last 2 seasons just outside the promotion places in Surrey 2.
The game was played at a good pace and the talented black and amber backs, ably supported by the back row, kept the scoreboard ticking through each of the 4 quarters. The tight 5 forwards were clearly in control for most of the game despite being significantly lighter than the visitors
Cam, although missing a number of their senior players some of whom are planning to run or cycle or even attempt both disciplines on Sunday, were generally too good for the opposition in all areas and their willingness to run the ball from anywhere on the park gradually wore down the visitors who, to their credit, stuck to their task manfully.
This was the final game before the league season starts on 27th away at Battersea Ironsides.
Good luck to all of our runners and cyclists tomorrow including Wreaksy, Muggie and Phil.
