Staying fit through lockdown. The pain of Bearcrawl Press ups and getting out in the fresh air to cover more distance.

We found peoples breaking point this week with Bear Crawl press ups, working on coordination and strength topping up team points being gained from running and cycling distances.

Again we received some amazing contributions and some individual efforts that show real determination and a drive to be in the winning teams.

Those individual efforts will pay off, both in players rugby but also as we finalise the competition and celebrate some of our efforts over the lockdown.

As we look forward to going back to Rugby on December 6th, there are two clear battles, Pink and Amber have equal team points* at 78 and Blue, White and Black are all so close with 54, 53 and 51 respectively.
This has been an amazing effort and great to work in competition together, please as players take real pride in just how well you have done.
*Team points are averaged across team participants to level contributions

Congratulations to Team Pink, who just snatch a win from Amber.

Again we had great participation and the amazing videos and images shared will be put together on our YouTube Channel for you all to enjoy and share.
We totalled 841 Bearcrawl Press ups, 116 kilometres ran and 130 kilometres cycled.
Expect to see lots more Bearcrawl Press ups, they’ve become a coaches favourite.

Our Burpees last week for our 5,000 challenge, has taking our total to 2,651. With a big last push over the next 10 days, let’s see if we can hit our 5,000 target.

Next week’s challenge will keep distances and getting outside, and we’ll focus on our handling skills ready for returning to rugby.
  1. The first is a basic figure of eight through the legs.
  2. Second is switching hands between the legs.
  3. and
  4. Thirdly pop passes between the legs.

Remember to check the video out on the YouTube Channel and shared in the WhatsApp chat.
As many as you can of each exercise in 1 minute, take your time to practise first before submitting your attempts.
For players completing 5 consecutive days there will be a 5 point bonus.

Last Push Everyone, Best of Luck to You All!!
