I hope to see you at to Watchetts recreational ground on this cold Saturday afternoon.

Firstly, I would like to wish Michael Clarke and his team every success in their next adventure, and to thank them for making the transition so smooth for both myself and Stuart Silvester.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Rory Greenslade-Jones. I’m originally from Maesteg in South Wales, although Camberley has been my adopted home for many years now - in fact, I’ve lived here longer with my family than I ever did in Wales. I was first introduced to Camberley RFC as a teenager while serving with 7th Parachute Regiment at Lille Barracks, and ever since then this club has remained close to my heart. It’s a place I’ve always returned to whenever I had a free weekend, to catch up with old teammates and friends.

Camberley was the first senior club I ever played for - and, some twelve years later, it was the last. Now, for the third time, I return to the club, this time as Head of Rugby, and I’m genuinely excited about the challenge ahead. Having previously held the same role at both Bracknell and Marlow, with a great deal of success, I’m looking forward to bringing that experience and energy back to Camberley.

I’m delighted to be joined by my good friend and Assistant Coach, Stuart Silvester. Stuart has been with me throughout my coaching journey and fully understands what is required to meet the challenges ahead. He also represented this club during his playing career and currently serves as the Army Senior Team Forwards Coach, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Thank you for your continued support of Camberley RFC. Together - players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters - I truly believe we can build something special here. Enjoy the match, and I look forward to seeing you all around the club throughout the season.
