Kinders Week 5 and 6

What a difference a week makes. Sunday 4th October was the wettest Sunday for a while and saw Kinders wrapped up and in waterproofs whilst last Sunday blue skies came out for our new starters. Even though the weather could not be any different the smiles on the faces of everyone involved was the same and despite the weather, the coaches were blown away not by the wind but by the enthusiasm and smiles that everyone showed.

TREDS continues to be the main focus for the Kinders with 8 certificates being given for Discipline and our first Green Laces issued to Annie who has displayed consistently all the core values of Rugby since she joined.

New training games have been introduced over the last two weeks; Shadow Busters where children are split into pairs with one being a shadow and the other having to “lose their shadow”; Conehead where children compete in teams to collect as many cones as possible and of course the favourite Bulldog which always brings our sessions to a close.

Our coaches are always trying to find new fun ways to practice skills during the sessions.

Here’s to next weekend and hopefully more blues skies.
