This initiative is designed to help recycle and reuse old training gear, boots, headgear, trainers, and club-branded waterproof jackets, benefiting players at all levels across the club.

Why This Matters

Given the cost of sports clothing and the rate at which our children grow, our Secondhand Kit Shop is here to support parents by offering a more affordable way to keep your children equipped for rugby. This initiative not only helps ease the financial burden but also promotes sustainability within our club community.

How It Works

The Secondhand Kit Shop will be open every Sunday from 10 am to 11:30 am, starting from the beginning of the season Sunday 1 September. The shop will be located in our clubhouse, and you can browse a selection of pre-loved rugby gear that’s perfect for training and matches.

How You Can Help

We’re encouraging all members to donate any old kit items that are still in good condition. Whether it’s outgrown boots, barely used headgear, or a waterproof jacket that no longer fits, your donations will go a long way in supporting our players and promoting sustainability within our Club.

Donations and Purchases

For each item of secondhand clothing purchased, we kindly ask for a small donation. All proceeds will go directly towards supporting our club and ensuring that every player has access to the gear they need to succeed on the pitch.

The Secondhand Kit Shop will be managed by our Kinders Squad Manager, Matthew O'Reilly. If you have items to donate, please contact Matt directly at 07738 558 464 or via email at mattheworeilly31@gmail.com. Alternatively, donations can be dropped off at the club with Steve behind the bar on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and of course on Sunday mornings. Your support in donating and purchasing from the shop will make a significant difference.

Future Plans

Depending on the level of donations and the uptake from our members, we plan to expand the shop’s hours and stock in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for updates as we grow this initiative together!
