Busy Busy Day At Watchett's

The weather had certainly taken a different direction to our previous fixtures. A good support crowd had built due to the club hosting 6 home games that day. With the wind & the rain coming in sideways across Watchett's Park, with a squad of 23 Camberley Women took on the newly formed Cranfordians with some familiar faces along with a number of new ones. The pitch had already taken a hiding from the U15's who played previously. The conditions were tough, the tackles were harder! Both sides bringing their aim game to the park.
Camb took an early lead with Caroline running a hard line and scoring within the first 2 minutes. Dee scored an amazing 2nd try with Tara assisting (driving) over the line. Camb kept the tempo going and 16 minutes in following quick hands from the back of our scrum Megan scored the 3rd try. Our debut player with speed to match that of Usain Bolt ran from our own 22 to score the 4th try of the game and what was to be her Sam's first of 2 in the game. Half time saw a number of changes in the pack. 2nd half was played in our own half for what seemed like an eternity, our defence was certainly tested by a relentless Cranfordians. Although there were no points to come Cranfordians way they were gracious to the end. We will see you on your home turf in February and we wish you well for the rest of the season.
