This weekend, Camberley U8s travelled to Hazlemere for the final festival of the autumn, bringing a busy run of rugby to a close with plenty of effort, teamwork and progress on show.
With player availability limited, Camberley fielded three teams, meaning everyone had to step up and play every game. The players rose to the challenge brilliantly, showing great enthusiasm, determination and a real willingness to support their teammates throughout the festival.
One of the biggest positives was seeing just how much progress the squad has made over the last three festivals. The players are beginning to understand the importance of working together in defence, holding their lines and moving forward as one team. It was fantastic to see these skills coming together on the pitch, with some excellent tagging and players increasingly working together to put pressure on their opponents.

There was plenty of attacking flair to enjoy, too, with some brilliant dodging, weaving and changes of direction creating opportunities for some wonderful tries. The players are growing in confidence, and it is great to see their individual skills developing alongside a stronger understanding of teamwork.

With the autumn festival season now complete, the squad returns to training at Camberley next weekend. After several weeks of travelling and playing festivals, it will be good to be back home, build on the progress made and continue developing the skills that will serve the team well in the months ahead.

Well done to all the players for another fantastic festival season, and thank you to the parents and supporters for their continued encouragement. The progress is there for everyone to see, and we look forward to seeing what the squad can achieve next!
