Who says volunteering at Camberley is just about getting soaked on the touchline? The Minis coaches proved otherwise this week as coaches and managers from Kinders, U7s to U11s (with the U8s sending their apologies!) traded whistles for curry spoons and enjoyed a well-earned night out together.
Meeting up away from the pitches, the coaches tucked into a feast curries, laughter, and questionable rugby anecdotes. It was a perfect chance to relax, bond, and swap ideas on how to keep the Minis section thriving—without anyone having to chase down a runaway ball or break up a ruck of excited six-year-olds.
Between mouthfuls of masala and naan bread, conversations flowed about coaching tips, upcoming plans, and the shared joy of helping youngsters play with rugby. The evening served as a reminder that the Minis community isn’t just built on Sunday mornings—it’s strengthened by friendships, support, and the occasional curry-powered team meeting.
Here’s to the coaches who give their time, energy, and enthusiasm week after week—and who now know each other a little better off the pitch too. A brilliant night for a brilliant group!
Fancy getting involved? The Minis section is always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers—whether you’re a seasoned rugby fan or just someone who enjoys supporting kids as they learn and have fun.
