Cocktails tighten the gap

Good news week for CamberleyCocktails

Stepping onto the pitch this Sunday the Camberleycocktails were feeling confident to play their first re-match away to the Gravesend Gremlins.

With a gap of two months between matches the improvement was evident from the kick off. Camberley backline have found their hands and brought a new dimension to the playbook, with the ball going forward they found themselves in new territory as they edged closer and closer to the try line. Determination and team play was rewarded with the ball crossing the line three times, the first try from first phase play from a scrum just short of the half way line, when the ball reached the hands of Emily White, who dodged though the black and whites to touch down. Frankie Austin claimed the second try as the forwards pushed over the line and it was White again scoring a breakaway try in the final minutes of the match to finish Gravesend 24 Camberley 15. A great match enjoyed by both teams, Camberley coach Johnson said “ its great to see the players having the confidence to be adventurous on the pitch, and get the results they deserve. This is our first year and we still have along way to go, today showed how far we have come”

It was a fun session topped off with pizza for all in the clubhouse after. There is no need to wait for the next one as the team welcome new players at every training session.
