Helpful info on rules for Saturday R4R
To clarify some details for Saturday of the contentious areas.

A touch = *waist or below* it can be one hand. (Don’t count if they tap players on shoulders or back - encouraging behaviour for when we have contact)

2 touches on the *same player* = tackle
If passed after 1 touch the count resets on the new ball carrier.

1st touch - player can pass, run or kick

A simultaneous touch by 2 defenders at the same time counts as 1 touch.

Tackler and Ball carrier go to floor and stay down until ball played away (Should be laying down but can accept a knee for this tournament ie some Vets won’t be able to)

All other defenders are back foot.

Kicks = can be above or below head height

4 phases “tackles” to get out of pressure zone or turn over.

Control the restarts after tries to prevent chaos and it will manage the players as they fatigue.

Please remember safety of all participants and ensure clothing is appropriate (I.e. no caps, watches or items that can harm other participants)
