So May 6th 2018 is a day that will clearly go down in our club's history with some moments that will live in club folklore for years to come!!
I have also had a hangover that unfortunately has lived with me longer than I would have wished which is why I have not written this earlier - but better late than never!!

Firstly on behalf of all the players, coaches and management I would like to thank every member of the club who tuned in, turned up and wore pink, Every time we looked to the stands it was a sea of pink, your support spurred us on and gave us the passion and belief to put in a very special performance.

The support shown by all of you on Sunday, highlighted to me, what a special club we have, the turnout from the mini and junior section was unbelievable, especially as some sides changed their whole tour schedule to come and support the boys, rushing back from various parts of the country to make it for kick off.
Also the support from every member of senior club not selected in the final squad was huge, we could hear your chants and cheers all game. The strength of any team can be defined by the quality of the men in reserve and we are truly blessed.
It was also good to see so many of the great players from previous eras supporting and applauding this very special group of players we currently have at the club. It also goes without saying that we are really appreciative of the hospitality especially the champagne provided by you all after the game.
The welcome we received back at Watchetts is also something that will stay in my memory for years to come. It was great to see a club back to its something like the old times, bouncing and full of people celebrating.
As a senior playing group we thank you all deeply for making a special occasion in to a great day for all of us involved.

Now I must also highlight some more direct thank you messages.

Firstly I would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support to the club.
Also the efforts of the exec. committee must not be over looked, I thank them hugely for the support they provided to the rugby committee and the rugby community at Camberley.

Thank you to our senior coaching staff and senior rugby leadership group of Ash Wright, Alex Hughes Alun Rise, James Justice, Oli Wright Tom Ratcliffe, Chris Bell, Dan Burnell, Ant Bentham, Steve Wickens, Dave Thorley, Ken Taylor, Steve Kelly. These guys are responsible for the weekly running, coaching, admin and management of all rugby at the club from u16 to 1st xv level.

I must send out a massive thanks to our to physio team Sophie Usher and Olivia Brown who have worked extremely hard this year to keep all senior players fit and in fine shape.

I would also like to thank Roger Berry as our fixture sec. press officer, match official and my personal agony aunt. It should not also be overlooked how much effort and time Roger puts into the team and the senior club.

Also I must acknowledge Ash Wright, Roger Wood and Lurch Bryant as the three senior club captains as these guys also put in a huge effort throughout the season.

And finally but certainly not to be forgotten I must mention Paddy O’Meara and my Dad Alun who are both helping me drive what we are trying to do at Camberley RFC, the energy they both bring to our efforts is immense.

Finally and most importantly I would like to thank every player in our club, we have had multiple success over various grades, ages and teams, you are the special ingredient, you all deserve every accolade you get, but to rest upon one's laurels is to invite mediocrity, Pre season starts in July, see you all there for the next step on this fantastic journey.
