This Saturday (17th) will see club skipper Pete Hill play his last game for the 1s before setting off for Vancouver and a new position as player coach.
Hilly has been a regular in the second row since joining in 2011 and has been club skipper for 3 seasons. Following a serious shoulder injury last year which saw him hospitalised he has come back this season apparently even stronger than before and will certainly be missed by the rest of the pack.
Pete, who as well as playing and coaching rugby, is also a bit of a graphic designer on the side!! believes that the opportunity to continue his rugby career in Canada just could not be turned down and we all wish him every success with his new club and career.
His last game will be against Old Wellingtonians and no doubt a few drinks at the clubhouse after to celebrate his new role.
On a personal note from one Gloucester lad to another - 'Thanks for everything Hilly, Good luck in a fantastic city and of course the world is always C&W'
