Camberley senior Womens XV stepped back onto the pitch for the first time in six years.

Camberley senior Womens XV stepped back onto the pitch for the first time in six years. Sunday saw the newly formed team also know as The CamberleyCocktails host a four way tournament giving them the opportunity to transfer their growing skills from the training field to the playing field. The opposition were also new neighbouring teams Aldershot & Fleet, Farnham and Alton joined forces for the day and Andover.

As the temperature hit 26 degree it proved a testing day in more ways than one. The rugby was a great standard with very few misdemeanours grabbing the referees attention. The format of the day was XRugby 7s, a fast game played on half a pitch, full contact 7 v 7. It was fast and furious as bone shaking tackles were executed combined with excellent ball handling resulting in plenty of points hitting the score board much to the delight of a strong crowd of supporters.

THANK YOU to everyone that was involved. It was a combined team effort on and off the pitch, including club support from coaches Matt u11s and Pete u14s who came to our assistance as referees. And of course to the home crowd cheering us on.

This was a great start to a new era of Womens rugby at Watchetts Recreation Ground

Our next home match is Sunday 8th October v Streatham & Croydon
