The Gin and Tonics got of to a fairly shaky start, put off by the fact that we had uncontested scrums along with the confusion over what rules we were playing. Luckily the game was called off with 10 minutes to go when one of the opposition broke his leg, allowing us to get away with a nil-nil draw. This enraged the oppo and they all started shouting at and even pushing the ref in a very football like way !!

Game 2 was terrible, it was a hot day and despite all the fluids we had forced ourselves to drink all day Friday we were struggling. After conceding the second try Camberley woke up and played the last five minutes on their own terms but it was too little too late.

JLS made the best decision of the tour and forced us all to have a litre of beer before our last game of the day. What followed was almost miraculous a literal try fest. Camberley were running in tries all over the place this was proper festival rugby ! Final score Camberley 33 the Frenchies 0. This turned out to be the largest score of any side all day but we still didn’t get a trophy.
