It looks as if our visitors OC's will be bringing lots of supporters with them so this is the one game of the season where we need to see as many of our members as possible at Watchetts to cheer on the 1s as they bid for their 3rd promotion in 3 years.
As many of you will already know there is a 3 course sit down lunch which starts at 12.30 - if you haven't booked then contact Mike Courtness to secure your place as numbers will be limited to 90.
For this weekend we have also erected a marquee and so if you prefer a more casual meal Lydia's team will be offering a choice of main courses including Ham egg and chips, Lasagne and salad or Fish and chips for £5.50 plus a choice of desserts @ £2.00.
And if you are looking for just a 'butty' then she will have a range of 'hot' and cold ones available.
To reduce the length of time you need to queue for a beer Lydia has also arranged with our brewers to have an additional bar available downstairs serving Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Whitstable Bay plus lager and Guiness and this will be open around 12.30.
Gareth and Wreaksy have been working this week on a special Souvenir programme which will be on sale during the day for £5.00., These programmes are also all individually numbered and there are some serious quality prizes on offer including overnight stays and rounds of golf at a local country club. The winning programme numbers will be announced at half time.
Lydia also plans to start up the BBQ at around 16.00 for those who have worked up another appetite!!!
Mini Chairman Benny is currently trying to organise a string of games between various squads from both of the clubs and if he succeeds these games are likely to kick off around 1.00 but more on this when things have been finalised.
So all of you Black and Amber supporters, just for this Saturday why don't you keep the garden shed closed, skip the weekly visit to The Meadows and come down to Watchetts and enjoy a tremendous day out - and of course with Cambo hopefully winning promotion. - THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
