The post requires excellent MSK clinical knowledge and previous experience in the management of Sports Injuries. Sound clinical reasoning structured around evidence-based practice, confidence in decision making and practised manual therapy skills are essential.

The club provides placement opportunities to Physiotherapy students. A team of undergrad and postgrad students work to provide pitch side first aid and basic assessment and treatment of the players whilst under the supervision of the Head of Medical Services whilst on 13-week placements. In return, placement students benefit from an award in rugby specific skills, mentoring from qualified therapists and RFU ICIS qualification. Students must be supervised during their placement activity to be covered by the CSP PLI scheme. This does not have to be direct 1-2-1 supervision, but at all times, the candidate will be responsible for determining the work they do and checking that what they have done is safe and appropriate.

An education to degree level in physiotherapy/sports rehabilitation/sports therapy (including relevant HCPC/BASRT/SST registration) is required, and an RFU ICIS qualification is desirable.

Hours: Ten hours per week, primarily Tues & Thurs evenings from 6 pm-9 pm and Saturday Match Days.
