Our mixed ability U11 team finished the season on a high, winning the U11s Leicester Tigers Challenge Bowl at Minehead over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The U11s played five games on Saturday against Andover, Minehead Barbarians, Hinckley, Wessex Warriors and Gowerton, losing two matches, drawing one match and winning two matches to finish fourth in their pool and competing for the Bowl on Sunday. In the semi-final they met Wimbledon Eagles and won before going through to the final where they met close neighbours Farnborough. Camberley scored the only try in the final to win the Bowl.

A great time was had by all, sporting red Camberley wigs, enjoying the family barbecues on both Saturday and Sunday, the kangaroo court on Saturday and all of the facilities at Butlins.

Thanks to tour manager Rachel Wakeman, squad manager Cy Murray, Head Coach Gary Scroby and Coaches Dale Morris, Chris Wakeman, Dave Dunsby, Peter Voss and to Shelly & Stuart Palmer and Lisa White for First Aid duties. Thanks also to all the parents for whatever parts they played in making the weekend an enjoyble event for all.
