Runaway Success at Runways End

U11s enjoyed a funday at Runways End to celebrate the end of the season. 43 players and siblings took part in two activities each under the guidance of the Runways End team, filling up on doughnuts, rock cakes and flapjacks and squash half way through and on hotdogs and more doughnuts at the end of the second activity.

The event was subsidised by the fund-raising efforts undertaken during the year including the pizza and quiz night, touchline bacon butties and coffee whilst playing at temporary pitches over the winter. Each child who wanted one received a U11 T-shirt with the names of the squad printed on the back. Thank you to Suzy Roper for organising the T-shirts, Cy Murray for organising the event, Rachel Wakeman for organising the food, and to the Coaches for leading each of the groups to their activities.

We concluded the event with some words of review from Head Coach Gary and a lovely surprise of flowers and chocolates for squad managers Liz and Cy.
