Training Sunday 8th November

Attendance at today's training was reduced with sixteen players travelling to Slough, but this didn't stop a really good session.
The session started with a warm-up relay race followed by Stuck-in-the-mud and then a game of 'Tag Rugby'. The particular object of today's 'Tag' was to concentrate on 'cheek to cheek' tackling, just as you would in contact games. Coach Jason emphasised the importance of this method as the safest way to tackle. He also demonstrated what would happen if you got it wrong. Everybody listened attentively and certainly seemed to have taken the lesson in during the on-going game.
Also stressed was the need to pass 'backwards' and the penalties for not doing so were outlined.
At 11.00 there was a two minutes silence, held to mark Remembrance Sunday, this was observed in a very good manner by all.
Pictured this week are award winners Ellen Hughes - Good Teamwork, Finlay Walsh - Great Teamwork, Anna Mackie - Good Teamwork, congratulations to them and to all there today.
