The Wooden Spoon Marauders in partnership with Camberley RFC are organising the Ndure24 Cycle Challenge at Watchetts on March 31st and April 1st

About the charity

In 2015 - 2016 with your help the Charity funded 73 projects which helped over 71,000 children with a disability or facing disadvantage across the UK and Ireland. We carry out fund raising events at rugby tournaments across the UK, Ireland and abroad. Sometimes this is something simple such as selling charity wrist bands other times it is a much larger event like a Black Tie Charity Ball.

Funds raised by the 'Ndure24' Challenge will be shared evenly between Wooden Spoon and Camberley RFC who are developing and investing in facilities & equipment for a new Youth Development Programme at the Club. This programme sees greater focus being placed on younger age groups and girls rugby in particular.

Activity Details

We would like to introduce you to our inaugural 'Ndurance24' Cycle Challenge which starts on March 31st and ends on 1st April 2017. April Fools Day it is and maybe we are all fools for agreeing to take part in what will be a very competitive challenge. The event, comprised of four teams, with four riders in each, all compete in a tag endurance race over 24 hours. There will be plenty of fun and competition to keep us all going. for example:
- Most miles cycled over 24 hours
- Most miles cycled over 1 hour
- Fastest mile etc

The challenge starts at 1pm on the 31st and finishes at 1pm on the 1st. You are cordially invited to come along to the club on the evening of Friday 31st to enjoy a beer or a curry and to join in the fun. You will be able to take part in a few challenges of your own if you fancy or just come along for the beer. The following day CRFC play Winchester and we have timed the event to end during the match lunch and just before the kick off, so if you can’t make the Friday night please join us on Saturday.

Please donate generously via the link below or the individual team members who I know are actively trying to get hold of you right now and don't forget to wish them the best of luck in the Ndure24 cycle challenge! Many thanks!
