The Camberley senior players travelled to Cuddlington Court on Saturday to play a series of games against London & South East Premier side Sutton & Epsom.

Two sixty minute games were played. The first being a development/2nd xv mix and the later being a 1st/2nd xv mix.

The first game saw Camberley run out 6 tries to 1 winners, Strong performances from the evergreen Ant Bentham (in his 22nd year of senior rugby), New recruit Greg Franzel at prop and Ed Grovesnor laid the platform for some fine play.

Coach Tom Ratcliffe commented ' All over the park the boys did very well, but a work on is the ruck, and ensuring we identify the correct player to clear out and make sure we keep working until the ball is gone.'

The second game saw Camberley come from behind at half time to run out six tries to three winners, It was evident that some ring rust existed in the early phases of plays, but a strong scrum and line out gave the platform to build upon and as the game wore on excellent support play created some fine scores.

This weekend see the Bartlett Memorial Day, The development XV host Egham Hollwegians KO 1300 and an expanded first and second xv host last season closest rivals Old Reigations KO 1500. There is a pre match lunch for more information please visit this page;-
