What Food and Refreshments do I need to give my child?

All participants need to bring a packed lunch and drink. Water and squash is available all day free of charge and a tuck shop selling fruit, chocolates, sweets and soft drinks is available.

What Kit does my child need to bring?

Each player needs to bring everything they would use for a normal game or training session, boots, trainers, gum shield, protective equipment etc…

Furthermore due to uncertainty of weather all participants need to bring waterproofs and a kit change.

What activities occur on the Camp?

Mini Rugby (kinders - u11)

All participants will have a day packed full of activity, each player will work in groups and skills relevant to their age grade. The camp coaches utilise other sports and activities to ensure fun and enjoyable environment is created where players can develop.

Additionally to these games campers will complete many other activities such as quizzes, arts and crafts.

Junior Rugby u12-u16

To support the development of players moving up and playing in junior rugby the camps will provide support for players to develop Technically, Tactically, Psychologically and Physically.

Each day on camp players will complete strength and conditioning circuits, Technical skills such as (passing, tackling, rucking) and positional skills training from senior club coaches all minimum level RFU 2 qualified.

Additional to this players will receive lesson/lectures into personal nutrition, psychological preparation and strength and conditioning.

All activities will work within the RFU guidelines for safeguarding (http://www.englandrugby.com/governance/safeguarding/) and be in line with the RFU’s age grade rugby (http://www.englandrugby.com/my-rugby/players/age-grade-rugby/)
