Georgina Crabb is off to Western Province at the request of the South African RFU

Georgina Crabb, the middle sister of the Crabb rugby playing dynasty who all learnt the game at Camberley saw her refereeing career take another big step forward recently when she was invited, by the South African RFU, to visit Western Province and referee a range of games over a period of 3 weeks at the end of July.
George started and ended her playing career at Camberley and the pinnacle of her achievements was to be capped by England at U19 and U20. Unfortunately she picked up a knee injury and so at the ripe old age of 24 decided to concentrate on refereeing.
Starting at the bottom, refereeing mens teams at level 10 and below, the young George soon showed that, despite her lack of years and size, there was only ever one person in charge and she has raced through the refereeing levels and now controls National level games.
This means that she now travels all around the country, Newcastle one week to Gloucester the next followed by Egham and Exeter.
She has also officiated at lots of IRB 7s tournaments including Dubai, Sweden and Amsterdam where she refereed Ireland v France and Australia v Russia.and in May she refereed her first game at Twickenham - the womens BUCS final and now its off to Western Province - good luck George!
