Encouraging start for the U21s with a 26-5 win at Chobham - they play Farnham at Watchetts this Sat 23rd ko 12.30

Cambo U21 Squad started back in the Surrey U21 Cup last night with a solid 5 - 26 away win over Chobham.

After a shaky first 10-15 minutes when Cambo played mainly with out the ball, they kept Chobham camped in their own half.

As the match developed, the Squad gelled well and started putting their stamp on the game.

Considering many players have not played together for a few years, apart from a blast out on the training paddock Tuesday night, it was a fast, hard and physical match.

Trys came from Mua Inoke, 2 in the first half, Shawa Rai and Dec Kavanagh a try a piece in the second, with 3 conversions from Matt Wilson.

Backs ran some great lines in attack and the forwards all bar owned the scrum and line out and with a solid defensive performance from the whole Squad it was a good night out for all.

Some sterling performances from Tom Young at 9, Matt Wilson at fly, Jake Smalley 12, Angus Hamilton, Shawa Rai, Josh Brown and it was great seeing Matthew Larcombe back in Cambo colours.

Aidan Buckingham was the Coaches Man of The Match, if only Mua Inoke hadn't missed the drop goal conversion......

Onwards and upwards gents, Farnham at home this Saturday KO 12:30, earn your beers and look forward to Christmas.
