Club Stalwart Ian Lockett loses his fight against melanoma

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long time Camberley player and supporter Ian Lockett who finally lost his fight against cancer in St Lukes hospital in Guildford on Saturday August 13th.
Lockey, a very popular club member, one time skipper of the 4th XV and regular Vet until he retired through ill health, will be greatly missed by all of his friends at Watchetts.
Ian, who was 60, raised significant amounts for deserving causes with his mates from the club and also those from The Anchor in Yateley, usually on some challenging cycle ride. These included a Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride and also a charity ride in Australia during the last Lions tour.
Lockey leaves 4 daughters and will also be missed by the many friends he made on his journey.
